In the RX-V Series, the main difference between all of the various models has to do with the amount of ports on each receiver. Some of the models include the optional Wi-Fi adaptor and some only have 5.1-channel surround sound. Choose the model in the series that has the ports and features that are right for your home theater.

The RX-V575 has five HDMI inputs for your various devices and accessories. The HDMI output has audio return channel capability to bring sound from your compatible TV to your receiver using the same cable, thus eliminating the need to hook up an extra cable. One of the HDMI input ports supports MHL accessories that link your compatible smartphone or tablet so you can both charge the device and access the media library. Some other devices also use an MHL format for enhanced connectivity with your receiver.

This receiver has an Ethernet port, and you can purchase an optional Wi-Fi add-on from Yamaha for another internet connectivity option. The unit has a front USB port to connect flash drives or digital music players and a rear USB port dedicated to the optional add-ons available from Yamaha. There is a port to connect the included setup microphone to optimize your speaker settings automatically when you first set up your home theater. You can also set up speakers in a second room using the Zone B setting of the receiver.

The Yamaha RX-V575 hosts a suite of other ports for component video, composite audio/video, optical audio and coaxial audio, as well as a headphone jack for private music sessions. There are also ports for AM/FM radio antennas to use with the built-in tuner. The tuner has forty station presets.
